How to make your own salt dough ornaments
Salt Dough Recipe
4 Cups All Purpose Flour 1 Cup Salt 1.5 Cups Warm Water
Salt Dough Rolling Pin Toothpick Parchment Paper Cookie Cutters Acrylic Paint Mod Podge or Sealer Ribbon
Salt Dough Ornaments
Mix ingredients than knead into dough form. Add more water if too hard or more flour if too sticky.
Roll out dough
oll out dough on top of parchment paper to desired thickness
Cut out ornmanets
Use cookie cutters to cut shapes out of dough or make handprints! Once your shape is formed take a toothpick and press through the top of the shape to create a hole.
Give it time
Bake ornaments at 250 degrees Fahrenheit for 2-2.5 hours or until hard then let cool.
Decorate your ornaments
Use paint to decorate your ornaments then let dry.
Seal your ornaments
Use mod podge or a clear sealer to preserve and seal your ornaments. Let dry.
Thread ribbon or twine through the hole in the top of your ornament and tie.
Hang on your tree or wrap up to give as a gift!
