Hey friends! I am excited to share my second Bible verse in the Motherhood & Faith series, 1 Peter 5:7. Visit HERE for my first Bible verse for moms in this series, Roman 12:12. This verse focus was inspired by one of my friends I had connected with through our church who gave me the courage to start this series, it is her favorite verse and it is becoming one of my favorites as well.

Part of the reason I started this series was because I found myself straying from my faith and I was letting anxiety overcome me. I would spend my time festering in an anxious state instead of turning to God and praying. Now, I am in no way saying praying is an alternative to seeking medical treatment for anxiety – some may believe it is, I am not one of them. I have been on my fair share of antidepressants and anxiety medications and I am not ashamed to tell the world. What I am saying is, when the world becomes too much mama and you feel your anxiety start to heighten stop and pray, even if it’s just for a quick moment. It’s funny how we can forget to do something so simple but powerful, which is why I wanted to make this printable verse to put out for myself and you as a daily reminder.Â
Reflection:
How are you currently handling your anxiety or moments that cause anxious feelings?
- How can you remind yourself to pause and pray during these times?
