Crafty Adventures is not only an Etsy shop, but a local Long Island mom owed business that hosts various children and toddler classes (more information below.) The owner Maria left her job in the educational field after becoming a mother to pursue her passion and is my first Moms That Inspire spotlight! Here is her story:
“Trying to balance mom life and work-life became overwhelming and difficult. Especially because work was no longer something I loved to do. I love being a mom and spending quality time with my little ones who are 4 years and 18 months old. Coming home from work physically and mentally exhausted me and trying to focus on my crafting after work left little quality time with my little ones. My mental health was at a low trying to balance it all. I needed to change my focus which was being happy and to be more present with my kids.
I decided to create something that involved all the things I’m passionate about which include teaching kids, crafting, and music. This is how Crafty Adventures began. A way for kids to Be Inspired to Explore and Create through Crafting and music which is always a learning Adventure. My kids love testing out everything I make for Crafty Adventures which is a huge WIN as it helps my son with all his challenges with sensory and allows me and my kid’s lots of quality time!” – Maria, Crafty Adventures
How amazing is that?! And I will tell you first hand Maria is AMAZING at what she does. We attended Toddler Class time last week and had such a great experience. We learned, played, painted, explored sensory bins, laughed, and danced! Maria was so interactive with the children, I seriously cannot wait to go back!
